FIRST NATIONS CHARTING THEIR PATH
JORDAN'S PRINCIPLE KNOWLEDGE
TRANSLATION ENGAGEMENT REPORT
I designed this engagement report for the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs to document First Nations perspectives on Jordan’s Principle through an accessible and visually rich editorial format. The project involved extensive illustration, custom visual storytelling, and the vectorization of a youth designed logo commissioned through a community competition, ensuring the final publication honoured original intent and authorship while meeting production standards for print and digital use.
Working within a tight timeline, I used illustration as a way to create points of visual interest and rest, helping break up dense text and guide readers through the content. Illustration functioned as a tool for care, translation, and emphasis rather than decoration. My goal was to produce a report that was clear, legible, and emotionally grounded, supporting families and communities who rely on Jordan’s Principle by reflecting both the urgency and lived realities behind the policy.
