About Me
Tansi! I'm Leticia Spence, a two-spirit graphic designer and illustrator hailing from Pimicikmak. I've been on a journey of artistic self-discovery since my Red River College days, where I honed my skills and embarked on a freelance career that has now spanned six fulfilling years.
Growing up, I stood between two worlds—one foot firmly planted in the city of Winnipeg, which is known for its unique blend of grit, cultural diversity, and creativity, and the other rooted in Northern Manitoba, where I developed my connection and love for the land, the culture of my people and the stories that were imbued in the soil itself. This dual existence cultivated in me a deep appreciation for beadwork, a craft that has become an integral part of my visual storytelling in the digital realm and the visual storytelling of our journey as a people throughout time and history.
My mission is more than just creating stunning visuals; it's about researching, learning, and cultivating a visual identity that reflects not only my artistic journey but also the diverse stories of my clients and the experiences of being an Indigenous person in Kanatan.
Career
I graduated from Red River College in 2019, and throughout my journey as a full-time freelancer, I've been fortunate to work with great clients. I've built a strong network of people who promote my work, and I feel truly humbled and honoured to have made these connections with these incredible human beings and these fantastic projects.
I am most known for working in partnership with WASAC and True North Sports + Entertainment, collaborating with the Royal Mint and working with the National Music Centre. Each project is an opportunity for me to weave narratives, integrating the timeless beauty of beadwork into the digital tapestry of my designs.
I look forward to a future where I meet more people and join their quest to further develop their print and digital presence through innovative, well-researched and respectful design.

Beyond the pixels and vectors, you'll find me embracing my passions in my free time. I'm a new and avid boxer and beadworker, and a dancer with a flair for waacking—a testament to the vibrant cultural tapestry that shapes my identity.
In this ever-evolving artistic journey, I'm not just creating visuals; I'm crafting stories, bridging worlds, and leaving an indelible mark as a proud artist from Treaty Five territory.
