OHSOTO’KINO LOGO + VISUAL IDENTITY
The logo is based on tipi rosettes and the idea of sound and how it moves. The four cardinal directions characterize tipi rosettes and often feature a section of horsetail to honour the Thunder Beings. This motif is seen on tipis, parfleche bags, medallions and regalia. I placed that within a circle that has elements that touch and overlap. I wanted to express how many sounds overlap and collide to create the music we listen to and appreciate.
